01Cohort Screening
the first decision · validate the venture

Hundreds of applications.
One short window. Every decision defensible.

Cohort Screening scores your whole applicant pool against consistent criteria — so your team spends its hours on the strongest fits, and selection is something you can stand behind in front of any board.

the decision

Who gets in?

Open calls bring hundreds of applications and a handful of reviewers. Manual screening is slow, inconsistent between reviewers, and quietly biased toward polished writing over strong ventures. Strong companies get missed; every rejection has to be justifiable.

what it produces

A scored, ranked, explained applicant pool.

  • Consistent fit-scoring across the entire pool — same criteria, every applicant
  • A ranked, filterable shortlist your committee deliberates on
  • The reasoning behind each score — strengths, risk flags, and a clear admit / hold / pass call
  • Global market winnability assessed at intake — so you select cohorts that are already more expandable
how it works

Three steps from pool to shortlist.

first

Applications in

Company profiles and strategy — role-based inputs, never personal contact data.

then

Scored against your criteria

Team, market, product, traction and scalability — weighted the way your programme weights them.

finally

Your committee decides

Reviewers deliberate on a prioritised shortlist instead of a raw pool. Humans make the call.

why it holds up

Rigour you can show your board.

Scoring is structured, criteria-driven and repeatable — the same venture gets the same score no matter which reviewer opens the file. It judges the venture, not the quality of the application writing. And the platform triages; your people decide. That division of labour is deliberate and permanent.

side by side, not one by one

The whole pool on one set of axes.

Reviewing applications one at a time is what makes selection slow and inconsistent — by the fiftieth file nobody remembers precisely how they judged the fifth. Venturada scores the pool against the same benchmarked measures, so companies are read against each other and against their sector rather than against whoever happened to review them.

  • Product–market fit — evidence of real demand, benchmarked against comparable companies at the same stage
  • Global market potential — which markets this company could realistically win, and what would have to be true
  • Fundraising position — how investable they look now, and the specific gaps between here and a raise
  • Ecosystem fit — the partners, programmes and buyers already active around them

The output is a comparative view your committee can actually argue with: an overview first, so the detailed evaluation goes where it changes the decision. It does not replace thorough review — it tells you where thorough review is worth spending.

the ninety percent

What about everyone you turn down?

A competitive call rejects most of the people who apply, and almost all of them receive nothing back. That is a large number of founders who spent real time on your application and now have no idea why the answer was no — and a programme's reputation is built as much on how it declines as on who it admits.

Because the whole pool is scored on the same measures, a feedback report for unsuccessful applicants comes almost free: where they sat against the benchmarks, which specific gaps weighed most, and what would have to change to make them competitive next cycle.

for the founder

A reason, and a route back

Specific, benchmarked, developmental. Not a template rejection.

for the programme

Reputation, and a warmer pipeline

Founders talk to each other. A useful decline is remembered — and produces stronger reapplications next year.

for the ecosystem

Companies that improve

Most rejected applicants are not bad companies. They are early ones who were never told what was missing.

Offered as an add-on, and always reviewed by your team before anything is sent — the feedback goes out in your programme's name, so you decide what it says.

what the committee actually receives

Three artefacts, not a black box.

one

The comparison view

Every applicant on the same axes, sortable. The overview that tells you where detailed review is worth spending.

two

Reasoning per company

Why each score landed where it did, what is evidenced versus claimed, and the specific question that would resolve a borderline case.

three

Interview briefs

For each company you take forward: the two or three things worth probing, and explicitly what not to spend the half hour on.

The scores are the least important part. The reasoning is what a committee argues with, and the briefs are what change how the interviews actually go.

the honest limits

What it does not do.

  • It does not choose your cohort. It produces a scored, reasoned shortlist; every admission and rejection stays yours.
  • It cannot see what a founder chose not to disclose. It does not replace the interview — it directs it.
  • It does not claim to raise your success rate. That is a hypothesis worth measuring over several cohorts, not a promise to make at the point of sale. What is guaranteed is consistency: the same company receives the same score regardless of who opens the file, and every score carries written reasoning.
where it leads

Selection is only the beginning.

The companies you admit flow straight into the other two validations — readiness before demo day, market validation before expansion.

Screen your next intake with it.

01Triagem de Coortes
the first decision · validate the venture

the decision

Who gets in?

how it works

Três passos do pool à lista final.

primeiro

Applications in

Scored against your criteria

Your committee decides

A decisão é humana.

E a plataforma faz a triagem; as pessoas decidem.

Reputation, and a warmer pipeline

Companies that improve

The comparison view

What it does not do.

where it leads
